Fabio Wardley is a British professional heavyweight boxer from Ipswich. His journey from white-collar boxing to the world title made him a prominent figure in British heavyweight boxing.

The story

Wardley started boxing late and did not have a traditional amateur career. Before turning professional, he boxed four white-collar bouts. He won these bouts by knockout and made his professional debut in 2017.

Under the guidance of trainer Rob Hodgins, he developed at Suffolk Punch Boxing Club in Ipswich. His breakthrough at national level came in 2022, when he defeated Nathan Gorman and won the British heavyweight title.

Wardley added the Commonwealth title and the WBO European title to his record after defeating David Adeleye. His two fights with Frazer Clarke further strengthened his reputation. The first bout ended in a draw, after which Wardley settled the rematch in the first round.

In 2025, he defeated Justis Huni at Portman Road and won the WBA interim world title. Later that year, he defeated Joseph Parker and won the WBO interim world title. After the title became vacant, Wardley was recognized as WBO heavyweight world champion. In 2026, he lost the title to Daniel Dubois.
