Burrows trained as an amateur at March Boxing Club in the Fenland region. According to his Matchroom profile, he built an undefeated amateur record there and won the Senior Elite National tournament in Derby in April 2026. On April 3, 2026, Matchroom Boxing announced that the then nineteen-year-old Burrows had signed with Eddie Hearn, after meeting Hearn ringside during Dalton Smith versus Mathieu Germain. His professional debut followed in May 2026 at The Halls in Wolverhampton, where he defeated Lewis Howell 40-35 on points over four rounds and scored a knockdown with a body shot. In August 2026, he secured a second professional victory at York Hall in London against Argentina's Carlos Miguel Ronner, whom he stopped in the first round. Some later announcements described a subsequent bout as if it were his professional debut, but Matchroom and two dated articles from Fenland Citizen show that Burrows had already completed two professional fights. His professional trainer is listed on the Matchroom profile as Jordan Gill. Fenland Citizen also reported that he trained in Liverpool under Stephen Smith; whether this was additional work or indicated a change to his training team could not be established.
