Sulaimaan is from Alum Rock in Birmingham and started boxing at the age of seven at Eastside Gym. According to the available sources, his nickname “Spider” originated when he appeared there as a child in a Spider-Man costume. He comes from a family with ten brothers, several of whom also trained at the same gym. As an amateur, Fight City reports that he won four national titles, a senior ABA trophy and international gold, and represented Team GB. His first professional fights took place on Matchroom shows. In late summer 2024, he signed an official promotional contract with Matchroom Boxing, and in November 2024 he was named Prospect of the Year at the Matchroom Fan Awards. On June 6, 2026, he defeated Ibrahim Nadim at Sheffield Arena by unanimous decision and won the English super-featherweight title. One source describes him as a lightweight boxer, while Matchroom Boxing, Ring Magazine and his title history use the super-featherweight classification. This difference has not been fully resolved. His professional career is managed by Janum Khan, better known as Jaykae. Before his title fight, he temporarily trained with Pearce Gudgeon at Steel City Gym in Sheffield.
