Johnny Fisher, nicknamed The Romford Bull, is a British heavyweight boxer from the Romford and Essex area. He combines a physically aggressive style with a large local following and built his professional career within the Matchroom Boxing network.

The story

Fisher, born on 27 February 1999 in Harold Wood, London, made his professional debut in February 2021 with a first-round knockout against Matt Gordon at Wembley Arena. After a brief amateur career, he built up a winning streak and won the vacant BBBofC Southern Area heavyweight title against Harry Armstrong on 5 August 2023. On 21 December 2024, he defeated David Allen by split decision in Riyadh and won the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title. In the rematch on 17 May 2025 at the Copper Box Arena, he suffered his first professional defeat after a fifth-round stoppage. Fisher then began training with Tony Sims, having previously worked with Mark Tibbs. On 20 December 2025, he returned with a victory over Ivan Baláž in Monte Carlo. In addition to boxing, Fisher earned a degree in history from the University of Exeter and previously played rugby.
