Levi “The Judge” Rigters is one of the most imposing heavyweights Dutch kickboxing has produced: a giant over two meters tall with devastating power, who, after years at the top of GLORY, is taking the leap into a new challenge in MMA.

The story

Levi Rigters grew up in Abcoude and developed through Dutch gyms into one of the most feared heavyweights in kickboxing. At over 2.02 meters tall and with exceptional reach, he combined technical boxing skills with explosive knockout power. As a result, he became a fan favorite at GLORY and a major challenger to Rico Verhoeven.
Alongside his work at GLORY, Rigters became the Enfusion World Super Heavyweight Champion and also built a successful record at RINGSLEAGUE. In 2019, he won the Abu Dhabi World Grand Prix tournament, and in 2020, a GLORY heavyweight tournament. In 2024, he competed in the GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix final against Rico Verhoeven; Combat Press named the fight Fight of the Year and Rigters Glory Breakout Fighter of the Year.

At GLORY 103 in August 2025, he defeated Jamal Ben Saddik with a spinning liver kick. In mid-2026, Rigters announced that he was leaving GLORY and kickboxing behind to focus entirely on MMA, with the UFC as his stated long-term goal. Since 2024, he has trained at ARJ Gym under Maikel (Mike) Polanen.

On September 26, 2026, Rigters will make his MMA debut against Luis Carlos de Brito at LFL24 in ’s-Hertogenbosch.

Rigters combined his exceptional height and reach with technical boxing, powerful right hands, and explosive kicking attacks. He became a mainstay at the top of European heavyweight kickboxing and seriously challenged Rico Verhoeven several times in title and Grand Prix fights.

In 2026, Rigters began a new chapter with Levels Fight League. His MMA debut against Luis Carlos de Brito at LFL24 is the first step toward his stated ambition of eventually reaching the UFC.

Rigters is regarded as a physically dominant and colorful heavyweight of his generation in European kickboxing. He disrupted the status quo at the top and was one of the few fighters to seriously threaten Rico Verhoeven multiple times. His move to MMA in 2026 is one of the year's most notable crossovers and could inspire other kickboxers to follow the same path. However, his career story is not yet complete.
