The story

Herrera boxes out of La Rioja and built his career in the welterweight division. He defeated Lucas Joel Senn by TKO in 2019 and Leandro Ariel Fonseca by unanimous decision in 2021. In August 2022, he again won by unanimous decision, this time against Eduardo Zuleta. After losing to the same opponent by split decision in April 2024, Herrera bounced back with a victory over Eduardo Martin Casal. On September 26, 2025, he defeated Casal by TKO to claim the vacant WBA Fedelatin welterweight title.
