Profile
The story
Shurendy “Bad News Endy” Semeleer was born on November 18, 1995, in Willemstad, Curaçao. From around 2011 onward, he built an impressive kickboxing career and developed into a technically gifted, fast, and tactically strong welterweight fighter. He now lives and trains in the Netherlands at ARJ Gym Budo Centrum NOP in Emmeloord, under Mike Polanen and Boy van Veen.
At Enfusion, Semeleer won three world titles in three different weight classes: 72.5 kg, 75 kg, and 77 kg. In 2016, he won the eight-man King of the Ring tournament. A year later, he defeated Muay Thai legend Superbon Banchamek, a victory that was named Upset of the Year by Combat Press.
In 2022, Semeleer signed with GLORY Kickboxing. He won the vacant GLORY welterweight title and defended it several times against fighters including Murthel Groenhart, Jay Overmeer, and Mohamed Khamal before losing the title to Chico Kwasi. In 2025, he also won the GLORY welterweight tournament.
In June 2026, Semeleer announced that he would combine his kickboxing career with MMA and eventually switch to the sport full-time. He signed with Levels Fight League and made his MMA debut with a victory at LFL23 in Amsterdam on July 5, 2026. Since then, he has fought under his full name. On September 26, 2026, he will face Everton Toniazzo Jr. at LFL24 in Den Bosch.
