Looking back at Badr Hari’s career

Looking back at Badr Hari’s career

Badr Hari has been a remarkable fighter since the beginning of his career. Unfortunately, this was not always solely due to his qualities in the ring. Badr Hari has struggled with uncontrolled outbursts of anger throughout his life. According to the media, these outbursts have also prevented him from ever truly getting everything out of his career.

I have a certain aggression in my body that I don't know what to do with. I genuinely hate my opponent when I fight him.

Badr Hari Searched for Himself

In mid-2014, the ruthless K1 fighter Badr Hari decided to withdraw to Morocco to find himself again. A few years later, he revealed on the program 'KRO’s Profiel' what the months of isolation had been like for him.

I can still explode... at any moment. When the brakes come off for me, it's not just my head, but my entire body. It's one huge explosion, with a lot of noise and commotion. Then I don't see anything anymore. It's like a storm with wind force 10, a hurricane, or even a disaster. That aggression is inside me, and I have to find a way to deal with it and channel it. I still don't know exactly how.

Badr Hari's Aggression

Despite the great successes Badr Hari achieved in his career, he also went seriously off the rails a few times. For example, he says that he saw himself as superior to others. This was partly due to the luxurious life he led and the way others treated him. The fighter lost control in the ring, kicking or punching his opponent several times, including after the final bell had sounded. He also came under fire for throwing punches outside the ring in his private life. As a result, he was sentenced to community service.

Although it has not (yet) been officially confirmed, it seems that he will not return to the ring. Badr Hari has won many titles and achieved numerous successes, but despite this, the general public will remember him as someone who could not control himself.
