Best boxing gloves for kids

Which boxing gloves are right for your child? Compare seven top choices by size, closure, material, and practical benefits. With genuine customer reviews and special attention to prints, colors, and small starter sizes.

Beste bokshandschoenen voor kinderen - Fight2Win.nl

Choose a children’s glove based on the hand

A first pair should above all feel comfortable and be practical for training. Can the child make a fist without their fingertips feeling cramped? Does the strap fit around the wrist? Does the lining stay in place? Those are better questions to start with than which color looks coolest.

Here we compare seven main options and show additional models separately. The colors of the same model are grouped together. We don’t create an artificial luxury or premium category based on a different print, or automatically treat a lightweight adult glove as a children’s glove.

The product cards show the price and the available options. A product photo may show a different oz version. So check the selected size on the product card; the size label on a sample photo isn’t what you’re ordering.

How to read our picks and scores

We rate three areas on a scale of 1 to 10: size options and closure, materials and construction, and practical value. Together, they add up to a maximum of 30 points. Practical value refers to what the design adds to a suitable everyday glove for children; a print alone does not earn a higher technical score.

These are editorial buying assessments based on the described construction, model variants, and available customer feedback. They are not the results of our own wear test, durability test, or impact measurement. We therefore do not assess how much injury a model might prevent. A one-point difference never replaces trying the gloves on.

The order reflects our buying recommendations; it is not an automatic sorting of models with the same total score. The additional models have no ranking number or score. Their design or small size may be exactly the right reason to choose them, without presenting them as offering a higher or lower level of protection.

What customer reviews do and don’t tell you

Loox stars are separate from our editorial ratings. For the review tables, we use the published responses available as of October 15, 2026, grouped by children’s product line and with duplicate review IDs counted only once. A comment about delivery contributes to the star rating average, but isn’t evidence of fit or cushioning.

When there are few reviews, we keep our conclusions modest. Quotes remain in their original language and come from genuine reviews. The figures in the review tables cover the entire model group listed, not just the responses we quote.

XPRT Top Gloves Kids

A leather training pair in 6 or 8 oz

The XPRT Top Gloves Kids is our first choice if you're looking for a leather training pair and the child's hand fits well in the 6- or 8-oz version. The cowhide exterior, multi-layer foam padding and wide hook-and-loop closure are a clear step up from basic entry-level synthetic leather models. Here, you're mainly paying for the choice of materials, not a special print.

The limited size range is an important part of this recommendation. If you're looking for a very small size or a 10 oz children's glove, the Competitor or Enforcer is a more logical model to start with. So don't choose a Top Gloves that's larger or smaller than necessary just to get leather.

The extra padding at the wrist and the wide strap are relevant parts of the construction. How comfortable this combination feels depends on the hand and any handwraps. Have the child make a fist and fasten the strap: fingertips that are pinched or a hand that slides around inside the glove are signs of a poor fit.

Choose the Top Gloves Kids if you specifically want leather and 6 or 8 oz is a good fit. Don't confuse this children's version with the adult Top Gloves: the size range and this review apply to the children's products below.

The reviews mention comfort and fit, among other things. These are personal experiences, not a guarantee that the model fits every child's hand.

Very nice kickboxing gloves for my daughter! They’re comfortable, provide good support, and look great too. She loves using them and feels really cool wearing them. Highly recommended!” 💪🥊

XPRT Camo V2

Two closure straps and mesh panels

With the XPRT Camo V2, the camouflage print isn’t the only difference. The description mentions two hook-and-loop straps positioned in opposite directions and mesh panels on the inside. This makes it an interesting comparison with the XPRT models that use one long closure strap.

The double closure gives you another way to adjust the cuff. That’s a good reason to try it on alongside a Competitor or Enforcer, rather than promising more wrist support without trying it on. The child should be able to fasten both straps without the hand turning or the wrist being pinched.

The mesh panels provide ventilation; they don’t replace airing the gloves out after training. The outer material is synthetic leather. If you’re specifically looking for a leather glove for a child, the Top Gloves is a more suitable choice.

Choose the Camo V2 if you like the double closure and a size in 6, 8, or 10 oz fits. Blue, gray, green, and pink are listed as color options in this range, not as four places in a ranking.

XPRT Enforcer V4 Phantom

A simple closure and a wide size range

The XPRT Enforcer V4 Phantom is a straightforward entry-level choice in black, with synthetic leather, multilayer padding and a long, wide hook-and-loop strap. Sizes range from 2 to 10 oz. That makes it a useful starting point if you first want to find a suitable size for a child.

Here we compare only the black Phantom. Its understated design pairs easily with other training gear, so you don't have to base your choice on a bold print. The key questions are still whether it fits comfortably, whether the child can make a fist and whether the strap fits securely.

The single long fastening strap is a different design from the two straps on the Camo V2. Have the child open and close the strap themselves, and compare how both models can be adjusted around the wrist. More straps don't automatically make a better choice.

Choose the Enforcer V4 Phantom if you're looking for a black, synthetic-leather entry-level glove with a simple strap and a wide range of sizes. If you want two fastening straps, compare the Camo V2; if you want leather, take a look at the Top Gloves Kids.

XPRT Competitor V1

A basic pair in small sizes

The XPRT Competitor V1 is XPRT’s straightforward entry-level model for anyone looking to find a suitable pair first. Black, pink and purple are available in sizes from 2 to 10 oz. Other colors have a more limited selection. The long hook-and-loop closure and synthetic leather exterior keep things simple.

The wide range of sizes makes this a useful starting point when comparing several smaller sizes. Pay attention to the inner space of the chosen model: the child should be able to comfortably close their fingers and easily fasten the strap around their wrist.

The colors are part of the same model range and are not ranked separately. Do check the variant for the color you choose, as not every version has the same size selection. Have the child try them on with the handwraps or inner gloves used during training.

Choose the Competitor V1 if you’re looking for a straightforward synthetic leather entry-level model with a long hook-and-loop closure. For a different closure design, compare it with the Camo V2; for a leather exterior, try the Top Gloves Kids.

King Pro Boxing Hexagon Kids

A youth model of its own from King

The King Pro Boxing Hexagon Kids is the youth option in the Hexagon line. Here, you’re comparing the kids’ models in 6, 8, and 10 oz, not an adult King glove that happens to be available in a low weight.

The specified construction consists of foam padding, a thumb protector, and a long hook-and-loop closure. The product information emphasizes its youth fit. That makes it a relevant model to compare with XPRT and Booster; it’s not proof that it fits every child’s hand better.

The outer material is not specified separately in the description of this kids’ version. We therefore won’t call it a leather model without evidence. Black and gold are two options within the same range.

Choose the Hexagon Kids if you’re looking for a King youth model and the hand and cuff fit well. Let the child try the strap themselves: practical ease of use matters more than the brand on the closure.

Booster Marble Kids

A Booster model with ventilation mesh

The Booster Marble Kids is the Booster choice for those looking for a combination of synthetic leather, multilayer padding and an extended wrist section. The Air Flow Solution consists of ventilation mesh on the inside. It is a distinctive construction detail alongside the marble print.

The description also mentions a treated inner lining. We make no promise that these gloves will remain odor-free: this pair also needs to be taken out of the bag after training and aired out properly. A material treatment is no substitute for care.

Gold and pink are available within the same model. The range comes in 6, 8 and 10 oz. Also compare the Champion if you want a different design within Booster: it is listed separately further down as an alternative in 6 and 8 oz.

Choose the Marble Kids if the cuff and youth fit are right for you and you prefer this Booster construction. If the models fit equally well, let the print be the deciding factor, not the other way around.

Booster Combat Kids

A Booster alternative with multilayer padding

The Booster Combat Kids combines synthetic leather with multilayer foam padding and a hook-and-loop closure. The wrist section and shape are the features to assess alongside the Marble when trying them on. The Combat design is a style choice, not an additional level of protection.

Size options vary by version: black is available in 6, 8 and 10 oz, while black-gold and pink are available in 6 and 8 oz. So if you’re looking for 10-oz kids’ gloves, don’t assume every Combat color comes in the same sizes.

We don’t automatically attribute Marble’s features to this model. This is the separately described Combat, with a synthetic leather exterior and multilayer padding. Choose between the two based on the actual fit and the version you prefer.

Choose the Combat Kids if this Booster model fits comfortably and the size you want is available in your chosen color. A great match with shorts or shin guards is a bonus, but fit comes first.

Outside the rankings - an alternative to the Marble in 6 and 8 oz

The Booster Champion Kids is an alternative for anyone looking for a different version within the Booster range. As with the Marble, the product information lists synthetic leather, multilayer padding, a treated lining and Air Flow Solution. The Champion therefore does not automatically offer a higher or lower level of protection.

One practical difference to consider is the size selection: this model is available in 6 and 8 oz, while the Marble range also includes 10 oz. The design is different too. Compare the fit of the pair you choose, then take the style into account.

We do not rank the Champion second in the same list just because the print is different. Reviews mainly concern the buying experience; we do not use them as evidence that the glove is technically better.

Outside the rankings - a metallic finish

With the XPRT Winner V1, the metallic finish is the obvious reason to consider it. Gold and silver are not ranked separately: choose the finish the child likes, after checking the fit of the hand and the closure.

The outer material is synthetic leather, and the closure consists of a long hook-and-loop strap. The current product variants differ by color: gold comes in 4, 6, 8, and 10 oz, while silver comes in 6 and 8 oz. Use the selected variant as your guide, not a general size listing for another color.

The positive comment about the fit below is a personal experience. So have the child close their fingers and put the glove on and take it off themselves. The shine of the outer material says nothing about the space inside.

Choose the Duo if you like the design and the pair you select fits comfortably. We can’t infer different padding or better cushioning from a two-tone design. To compare a noticeably different closure setup, you can look at the Camo V2, which has two straps.

XPRT Fantasy V2

Outside the rankings - dragon and fight girl designs

The XPRT Fantasy V2 brings together the Dragon and Fight Girl designs. The print is the reason to show this model as an additional option, not to recommend different oz sizes to boys and girls. Fit and use remain the starting point for every design.

The Dragon comes in 6, 8, and 10 oz; the two Fight Girl designs featured also come in 4 oz. The outer material is synthetic leather, and the long hook-and-loop closure is designed to adjust the cuff.

The reviews deserve more attention than just the average rating. Alongside positive comments about comfort and fit, Bente L. reports stitching coming undone on two orders. She writes about this in two reviews; they are not two independent customers. The three-star review below is for the pink Fight Girl.

So don’t choose based on the print alone. Check the stitching and lining of the pair, and stop using them if a seam starts to come undone. A high average star rating doesn’t make a specific complaint any less relevant.

What size children’s boxing gloves fit?

Oz is a weight measurement, not a universal glove size. The interior space also depends on the model. So an 8 oz children’s glove may not fit the same as an adult 8 oz glove. Use age guidance only as a starting point, not as a fixed size for every child.

Have the child slide their hand in relaxed and make a fist. Their fingertips should not be pinched in a crease, the thumb should feel comfortable, and the hand should not slide around unnecessarily. Also check that the glove can be taken off easily. Try it on with the handwraps or inner gloves worn during training.

Fasten the strap without constricting the wrist, and let the child open and close it themselves. If in doubt, compare an adjacent size and another model. An extra-large glove to grow into may sit loosely on the hand.

Pink, black, a dragon, or a flag doesn’t change this check. Don’t choose different sizes for boys and girls based solely on gender. Choose the style only once the fit is right.

Size selection - compare the specific model

Starting pointWhat to look for
A low oz rating Does not automatically mean the right size for a child
A different color May have a different selection of variants
A larger child May need more room, but also compare hand shape
Handwraps or inner gloves Bring them along when trying on
A sample photo May show a different oz version than the selected variant
Room to grow Is no reason to choose a glove that slips around

Leather, synthetic leather and the closure

The Top Gloves Kids is the leather option among the main choices. The XPRT and Booster alternatives described use synthetic leather; the outer material of the Hexagon Kids is not specified separately. Leather can be a deliberate material choice, but it won’t make up for the wrong size or an uncomfortable lining.

Choose a double closure because it feels comfortable to adjust, not because two straps are automatically better than one. You can compare it with the different construction of the Camo. For models with a long single strap, check that it fastens around the wrist without awkward pulling.

A secured thumb, padding and a wrist strap are features of the equipment. We don’t present them as a guarantee against injuries. The training use should suit the child and the type of class chosen; this buying guide is not an assessment of which form of contact is appropriate.

Maintenance, lining, and seams

Take the gloves out of your sports bag after every training session. Open the closures and let them air out thoroughly, away from direct heat. Follow the care instructions for the material and specific model; don't apply conditioner to a synthetic leather glove as if it were a leather pair.

Also check the inside. Loose or bunched-up lining should not remain around the fingers. Inspect the seams, thumb joint, and hook-and-loop fastener. Don't keep using a pair with an open seam or bothersome inner fabric as if it will just sort itself out.

If you'd like to compare, you can try on the different sizes and closures in our showroom in Waddinxveen. Bring your usual handwraps or inner gloves so you can compare them in a realistic training situation.

END CONCLUSION

Our final picks for children’s boxing gloves

The XPRT Top Gloves Kids are our first choice for a leather pair when 6 or 8 oz is the right fit. The Camo V2 is the most interesting comparison if you’re looking for two fastening straps and mesh panels. The Enforcer V4 Phantom offers a simple fastening system and a wide size range.

Competitor, King Hexagon, and the Booster models remain solid alternatives, each with its own points to consider. Choose the additional models for a suitable fit or a design you like, not because a print deserves a higher rating.

Ultimately, the right choice is the pair that feels comfortable on the hand, lets the fingers close comfortably, and is easy for the child to put on and take off. The final ranking below sums up our buying recommendations; the blue overview keeps the additional models separate.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Which kids’ boxing gloves are the top choice in this buying guide?

The XPRT Top Gloves Kids are our first recommendation if you're looking for a leather training pair and 6 or 8 oz feels comfortable. The Camo V2 is an alternative with two closure straps and mesh panels. The Enforcer V4 Phantom has a simple, long closure and a size range from 2 to 10 oz.

The right choice still depends on the fit around the hand, fingers, and wrist. A higher rating is no reason to choose a size that doesn't fit.

Why don’t all 8 oz children’s models have the same fit?

Oz indicates the weight of a boxing glove, not a universal measurement of its internal space. The shape of the hand compartment, the lining, and the closure can vary by model. An adult 8 oz glove is therefore not automatically a children’s glove.

Have the child make a relaxed fist and take the glove off easily. Try it on with the handwraps or inner gloves they will also wear during training. Don’t choose based only on age or gender.

Are all colors of a children's boxing glove available in the same sizes?

No, the available sizes can vary by version within the same model range. For example, the black Booster Combat is available in 6, 8, and 10 oz, while the black-and-gold and pink versions are available in 6 and 8 oz.

Check the variant you want to choose on the product card. The size label on a sample photo or a general description of the model range does not determine the size you order.

When should I choose the leather XPRT Top Gloves Kids?

Choose the Top Gloves Kinder if you’re specifically looking for a cowhide leather exterior and the children’s version in a suitable 6 or 8 oz size. The model features multilayer foam padding and a wide hook-and-loop closure.

The leather exterior won’t make up for the wrong size or an uncomfortable lining. If you need a smaller size or a children’s glove in 10 oz, first compare it with a model that actually offers that size.

What is the difference between the Camo V2 and Enforcer V4 for children?

The Camo V2 has two hook-and-loop straps positioned opposite each other and mesh panels on the inside. The Enforcer V4 uses one long, wide hook-and-loop closure. Both have a synthetic leather exterior.

The Camo range comes in 6, 8, and 10 oz. The Enforcer Phantom also comes in 2 and 4 oz; other Enforcer versions have a more limited size selection. Choose the closure that feels comfortable to adjust around your hand and wrist, not automatically the model with the most straps.

Why are some children's boxing gloves not included in the ranking?

A different print or color does not automatically mean different technical performance. Booster Champion, XPRT Winner V1, XPRT Duo V1, and XPRT Fantasy V2 offer additional options in design and size selection, without us assigning them an artificial higher or lower protection class.

These models therefore have no ranking number or editorial score. They do have their own features and product selection in the buying guide.

How do I read the Loox stars next to the scores in this children's buying guide?

Loox stars are customer reviews. Our ratings are editorial buying assessments of sizing and closure, materials and construction, and practical value. They are different types of information and are not combined.

The review tables state their cutoff date and scope. A comment about delivery counts toward the star average, but proves nothing about fit or cushioning. The editorial scores are not the result of an in-house wear test or impact measurement.

What should I look for in the lining and seams of children’s boxing gloves?

When trying them on, check that the lining lies flat and the fingers aren't pinched in a fold. The child should be able to close their hand comfortably and take the glove off easily. Also check the seams, thumb joint, and hook-and-loop fastener.

Don't keep using a pair with an open seam or uncomfortable lining, assuming the problem will go away on its own. Take the gloves out of the bag after each training session, open the fasteners, and let them air out without direct heat. Follow the care instructions for the specific model.
